WE’RE SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE….!!
Wait… shouldn’t we start at the beginning?
14 years ago Trent and I got married, and this has been the trend ever since:
- Get confronted with something hard.
- Seek solutions from the Bible and prayer.
- Read good books (or listen to good podcasts).
- Do what they say.
From marriage to parenting, managing finances to starting a business, leading small groups to leading whole ministries there’s always been a point where things. got. hard. Like really hard… and the process has always been the same.
Seek out solutions. Implement the solutions.
Two and a half years ago we had this crazy idea of opening a coffee shop, which made zero sense because we had zero experience in the coffee industry. But in 2020 Covid graced us with its presence, and we’re not sure if we were running on adrenaline, the Holy Spirit, or cabin fever… but we threw caution to the wind and started Kaloway! And it’s been a wild ride!
We’ve done a whole lot of things we never imagined. Like:
- Using our business to give over $1,000 to organizations that are doing good and changing lives!
- Brewing coffee for conferences and book launches. And
- Organizing a group of our friends and customers to serve the homeless.
For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, or hopped on board over the last two years, we just want to say, “Thank you!” Especially to those of you that have purchased coffee or been on a monthly subscription.
Without you, none of what’s been accomplished would have been possible?
However, with all the good that’s happened, Trent and I have continued to feel this emptiness with Kaloway. This sense that what we’re doing is not entirely what God has wired us to do.
So, after a lot of prayer and consideration, we’ve decided to change things up.
Are we going to stop selling coffee? Nope. Are we finally going to open that coffee shop….? Also nope.
Kaloway is a word we made up. It means “Better Way,” and as we’ve been trying to discern what God wants us to do with our business we’ve noticed that people keep seeking us out for help in one of three areas: Faith, Family, or Finances.
So instead of keeping our business and our expertise separate, we’re bringing them together! And with that… drum roll please…
WE’RE SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE… that we’re changing our name from Kaloway Coffee to the Kaloway Company!
Starting August 1 we’ll be creating content to help you to live a better way in your faith, family, and finances. Those three things have been a huge focus of growth for us over the last 14 years, and it’s time to share (publicly) what we’ve learned.
The coffee isn’t going anywhere. Honestly… what better way to start off each day of intentional living than with a delicious cup of coffee? But the coffee is going to take a back seat to what we feel we’ve been put here to do. Help YOU live a better way.
That’s the big reveal, but you’re probably wondering what that means for you.
Here’s what you can expect from us. For now, the plan is to put out a new blog post (and email) every single Tuesday.
I already have a bunch of blogs in the can, and I think you’re going to really love them! In each email we send out there will be a link to the blog as well as a challenge for the week and some additional resources.
Beyond that, we’re honestly not sure. We have a TON of ideas. We’re never short on ideas… But we feel like we just need to take things one step at a time, and this shift is our next step.
If you’re excited about what’s to come we’d love for you to join our email list! That way you can get our helpful content delivered right to your inbox. And if you know of someone(s) who would really benefit from what we’ll be offering we’d love for you to forward this blog to them.
If you find yourself struggling with your faith, family, or finances email us. The whole reason we feel compelled to make this shift is to help. So help us help you by telling us exactly what you need. Seriously… email us. KalowayCoffee@gmail.com
Thanks so much for reading this to the end. Thanks to everyone that continues to ask us, “How’s Kaloway going?” And thank you for being here as we build the Kaloway Company from the literal ground up.
In 10 years I know we’re all going to look back and be completely blown away by what God’s going to do, and we’re excited to have you with us!
Because there’s a better way,
Sarah (and Trent) ?
