We’re Trent, Sarah, Evan + Taya, and we’re so glad you’re here! We’re just a regular family from Michigan that’s committed to doing things better.
Trent currently works as the operations minister of our church. He also works part-time with a financial planner and part-time with a church planting organization. He’s busy!
Sarah homeschools the kids, takes care of the house, and runs the day to day operations here at Kaloway. Evan + Taya are committed to being kids, and they’re killin’ it!
We love spending time as a family + serving families, and we hope you’ll find at least one thing on our site that’ll make your life better ?

Trent + Sarah met in 2008 and were married 6 months later!
In 2019 they became 100% debt free when they paid off their mortgage!
Sarah homeschools the kids, which gives them the flexibility to travel.
As a family, the Shivleys have visited 13 National Parks and about half of the United States!

It’s a combination of the Greek word, Kalos, and the English word, way.
It literally means, “Better Way.”
